We, here at ShoutEm, have been very busy lately working on smaller and larger improvements to our platform. We focus our hard work primarily on improvements which you, our customers, want to see in your apps.
We’re always keeping our ears to the ground, collecting feedback and trying to find the best solutions for our most requested features and improvements.
With this blog post, we wanted to showcase how a platform improvement comes to life from being merely a customer suggestion, to becoming a full-blown platform feature.
The Social Wall is one of the most used modules within our apps. The module allows app users to engage with each other in social actions like status updates, check-ins, photo sharing, etc.
The most popular action within our Social Wall is the ability to like and comment other users actions. We’ve received a lot of feedback regarding the size of the comment and like buttons. Indeed, social buttons were too small, and they lacked clickability.

As we noticed an increase of requests regarding these two functions, we decided to get our hands dirty.
In the last few weeks, the Design team created new buttons, Q&A team tested changes, and the Dev team implemented these changes to our live platform version. The final result, which can now be seen live in our newest iPhone/Android/HTML5 apps, is displayed in the screenshot below.
